Hunters have to book at least two nights accommodation.
(Please note, we will not be hunting Blesbok in 2009)
RULES:
- All wounded animals to be paid in full, regardless of any circumstance. Rather take
your time to get a decent shot, than a hurried mess.
- For the 2009 season, the bag limit is three buck per hunter for the full period hunted.
Hunters may swap out, example: if there are two hunters and one hunter shoots one
animal, the other may shoot five.
- Smallest caliber generally allowed is .243 win.
- For "voorsit" there must be at least four hunters in a camp.
- No bullets in breach or magazine when on the back of a vehicle and bolts to be left open.
- Always treat a weapon as loaded, even if it is not.
- Minimum of two night's accommodation i.e. no one day hunts. (Normal conditions apply)
- Hunters must have their own hunting licenses. We sell licenses from reception.
- An indemnity form is to be filled in by all hunters/non hunters on a hunt
- Hunters must have their own licensed firearms, new legislation makes it illegal to borrow and
lend firearms unless the lender and borrower hunt in the presence of each other
- All firearms (including airguns) being used for target shooting may only be used on the shooting range.
No shooting of birds or targets near the chalets or anywhere else on the farm is allowed.
- Hunters must be accompanied by a guide.
- Refrain from giving staff liquor.
- NO LIQUOR IS ALLOWED IN THE VELD. NO HUNTING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF LIQUOR OR DRUGS.
- DEAD SILENCE after 10pm, consider other guests that may be on the farm.
- NO hunting on Sundays, unless looking for a wounded animal.(rates apply)
- Make sure all members of the hunting party read this document.
- No collecting of firewood. Bring your own or purchase from us.
- Hunt ethically and enjoy this wonderful land of enchantment.
